This historic pub dates back to 1686 and it is believed that the two cottages originally next door were also an inn. In 1928 Edward Tyrwhitt Drake was forced to sell some of his property in Amersham which included the Swan Inn. Harriet Day, a local benefactress whose family had kept the Swan Inn for a number of years built a block of almshouses nearby.

Guests will be able to browse a new menu which includes a wide variety of freshly prepared classic pub dishes such as Slow Cooked Shoulder of Lamb, daily fresh fish dishes and Homemade Pie of the Day. There is also a separate lunch menu offering freshly made sandwiches and salads, perfect if you’re just nipping in for a quick bite.

Look out for the blackboard showing today’s specials, and the thoughtfully selected range of delicious vegetarian options.

There is an extensive wine selection to compliment the menu as well as a variety of continental lagers. There is no need to book, just come in and we'll look after you. No meal is complete without a wide selection of drinks to wash down the food, with a range of cold premium, continental draught lagers including Staropramen, Amstel, Birra Moretti and the award-winning cask ale Timothy Taylor, a variety of bottled beers, draught wines by the glass or carafe, a selection of other wines by the glass or bottle, and spirits. Guests will receive fantastic, friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere and what’s more, there is outdoor seating for dining and drinking in the summer.
