Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. If you are planning on travelling for larger events, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly to avoid disappointment. We are putting in place new measures to give event organisers a friendly reminder to see if they wish to remove cancelled events, so we're sorry if it looks a bit bare in here :(

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for free, professional advice.

Come and join our Story Curators course for ages 12-16 and learn how exhibitions and installations are created - from first ideas to fully built!

Get hands-on with the museum's professional Exhibitions and Production Teams to develop skills in curation, design and construction.

In our new Story Curators course, we’ll be taking you on a year-long journey to learn how to create your own immersive space. From conception through to design, see your ideas come to life right here in The Story Museum, while learning all the skills you need to make magic happen!

During this first term, running from September to December 2023, inspired by the ‘Mouseum’ (our phone box installation on Pembroke Street), participants will work on creating their own miniature sets. Working together as a team to create a brand-new trail to be showcased in the Enchanted Library. You’ll be learning all the skills you need to dream up and tell a story that enchants and delights through set and design as you learn how to design and build your tiny worlds.

Participants don’t need any prior skill – just an open mind and a willingness to commit to the journey and get involved! In exchange our exhibition designers, makers and technicians will teach you all the skills you need to transform your imagination into the 3D world.

Learn how to make props, sets, costumes, installations and more. If you’ve ever dreamed of creating a masterpiece as part of a brilliant group of like-minded story lovers, this course is for you!
